First Trimester 
Ultrasound

Transabdominal with Transvaginal ultrasound if needed. Confirms an intrauterine pregnancy and fetal viability, including assessment of cardiac activity and crown–rump length (CRL) for dating and estimated due date. Evaluation of the uterus and ovaries is included, with findings appropriate for gestational age.

Growth

Ultrasound

Evaluates fetal growth and estimated fetal weight using standard biometric measurements. Includes assessment of fetal cardiac activity, fetal position, placental location, amniotic fluid volume, and visualization of the four-chamber heart, kidneys, stomach, and bladder.

BIOPHYSICAL PROFILE (bpp)
Ultrasound

Assesses fetal well-being through evaluation of fetal movement, tone, breathing activity, and amniotic fluid volume. Fetal position is also documented as part of the assessment.

Limited OB
Ultrasound

A targeted examination performed to address a specific clinical indication. May include assessment of fetal cardiac activity, fetal position, placental location, and amniotic fluid volume.

Cervical
Ultrasound

Assesses cervical length and funneling to evaluate cervical competence during pregnancy. Transvaginal imaging is utilized when indicated for optimal measurement.

These FAQs apply specifically to diagnostic exams. Policies, guidelines, and guest allowances for elective scans differ and are outlined separately.

How are reports delivered to providers?

Reports are securely delivered via email or provider portal for frequent users, including relevant biometric measurements, charts, documented findings, and radiologist interpretation.

Can family members attend my diagnostic exams?

Yes! However, due to the medical nature of diagnostic exams, we kindly ask that you limit guests to 4 support persons. This helps us maintain a calm, focused environment and ensures the highest quality imaging for your baby.

Diagnostic ultrasounds are medical exams, not just viewing sessions. They require concentration, precision, and attention to detail. A calm, controlled environment allows us to provide accurate results and the highest level of care for both you and your baby.ise them.

Can my children come to my diagnostic exam?

Children are welcome during diagnostic exams. However, Children under 12 MUST be supervised by an adult at all times. If a child becomes disruptive, an adult may be asked to step out to maintain clinical focus and exam quality.

Can I take photos or videos during my scan?

To maintain focus and ensure the best possible imaging, personal recording is not permitted during diagnostic exams. We want to give your baby our full attention.
We do offer keepsake images and may provide special moments when appropriate.

Will I receive images from my diagnostic exams?

Yes. When obtainable, diagnostic exams may include 3D/HD images. Patients receive 5–7 printed thermal images and a digital videos and images.

Do you charge extra for STAT exams?

STAT exams are reserved for clinically urgent cases requiring expedited interpretation and must be ordered or approved by a healthcare provider.

Typical STAT fee range 
$75–$150 depending on schedule and after-hours coverage.
 

What if I do not have a referral or order form?

 All diagnostic exams require a referral/order from your healthcare provider. This is necessary for us to safely and appropriately perform your exam.If we do not receive your referral or order prior to your appointment, we will unfortunately not be able to proceed with your exam and your appointment may need to be rescheduled.We recommend contacting your provider ahead of time to ensure all required documentation has been sent to our office before your visit.

Where Can I find a referral form? 

 You can request one by contacting your provider’s office and asking them to send the ultrasound order directly to us prior to your appointment. You may also scroll to the top of this page to download and print our referral form to bring to your provider for completion.
