I’m so excited to welcome you to Itty Bitty Ultrasounds. During my pregnancy, the moments I spent looking in on my baby boy during ultrasound scans became some of the most treasured experiences of my life. As a registered diagnostic medical sonographer, I had the unique privilege of scanning my baby whenever I wanted and watching him grow from an “itty bitty” peanut into a full-sized miracle was nothing short of magical.
That beautiful experience inspired me to create Itty Bitty Ultrasounds. I wanted other moms to feel that same connection in a peaceful, intimate setting where they’re fully seen and supported. When you book with us, you’ll always have Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer taking care of you and baby. We will guide you through every step of your scan, making sure you feel informed, relaxed, and cherished. Our goal is to make your experience unforgettable by offering more time, extra photos, and a personalized touch. Building Itty Bitty Ultrasounds has been a dream come true. It's where my passion for sonography meets my love for connecting with other moms. Meet Hunter – Owner & PA-C

Hunter is the backbone of Itty Bitty Ultrasounds. While Kayla focuses on the clients, he handles all the behind-the-scenes work that keeps our business running smoothly. Hunter is a certified physician assistant with a background in psychiatry and family medicine, and he truly understands the physical and emotional challenges that come with pregnancy. He’s the one making sure everything in our studio runs perfectly, from managing logistics to supporting me in every way possible so that I can focus on giving you the best experience.

Meet Kayla & Hunter
Kayla Cooper is the owner and founder of Itty Bitty Ultrasounds, established in 2023. Originally from New York and later based in Florida, her medical career began as a veterinary technician in a neurological and emergency clinic, where early exposure to diagnostic imaging inspired her transition into diagnostic medical sonography in 2018.
Kayla attended her sonography program in Tampa, Florida graduating as president of her class, with the majority of her clinical training completed in high-risk maternal-fetal medicine and pediatric settings. She then worked across multiple specialties, including general ultrasound, vascular, and obstetrics further strengthening her diagnostic foundation.
After relocating to Knoxville with her husband to start a family, Kayla opened Itty Bitty Ultrasounds while eight months pregnant, inspired by her experience performing her own ultrasounds and watching her baby grow throughout pregnancy. She envisioned a space where moms could have the time to bond with their baby and loved ones in a calm, supportive environment without compromising clinical quality or imaging standards. That vision continues to guide the studio as it bridges meaningful patient experience with reliable diagnostic care for both families and referring providers.
Liana is an obstetric and gynecologic sonographer with over three years of experience in OB diagnostic ultrasound, with a background in pregnancy centers and maternal-fetal medicine (MFM). Her background provides a strong foundation in diagnostic obstetric imaging and consistent image acquisition in both routine and higher-acuity environments. She has experience with advanced ultrasound technology, including 3D/4D/5D imaging, and is committed to maintaining high imaging standards while prioritizing patient comfort and exam efficiency.
Working within a boutique clinical setting, Liana combines a calm, patient-centered approach with attention to detail and clinical accuracy, helping ensure reliable studies and a positive experience for each patient. Her focus on clear communication, consistency, and compassionate care supports continuity for referring providers and fosters trust throughout the imaging process.
